Winter Glow | Signed Original

The story: This painting started as a faded gray slate that was intended to become Part IV of the She Wanders series. Yet as I played with the gray, it didn’t lend itself well to that style (and it just so happened to be winter). So I added snow, hills, trees, and the glacial lake, then asked for your input on social media, and the addition of the Northern Lights at snowfall was the result. The lesson? Art is only marginally about the original idea, it’s more about the process of trial and error and collaboration that leads to unexpected breakthroughs.
