The story: “Though I walk through the shadow of the valley of death,” the Psalmist wrote thousands of years ago, and I know. Where I’ve felt God’s presence and comfort the most was in dark woods – because I needed Him most. On these paths, there’s a light that carries us through, protects us from what’s outside, and draws us back when we wander. With how I grew up, I shouldn’t even be standing, yet through it all, He was there, calling me closer, further up and further in.
