The story: Beauty is patient. It doesn’t call out. It doesn’t need to make a scene. It just is – and that’s enough. I had originally titled this painting “Love is Patient,” but simplified it to just one word because both love and beauty and tenderness are all wrapped up in patience. And what better way to describe patience than flowers, which are always waiting? To be picked, cherished and admired, even if for just a short while.
