The story: Where I come from in East Texas, big cities have 20,000 people and are located by oil, not water. When I moved to Boise, metro population half a million, I thought … “now this is a real big city!” But just how this city looks big at a distance, when I got up close, I found Boise to be manageable. Now big means … New York, Chicago, Seattle. Beautiful at a distance, across the water.
